According to history, it is said that the emperors of the Ahom dynasty used to watch various sports held on the ground in front of this house. Initially, the artists who constructed the Rang Ghar, along with the king who initiated its construction, were not aware of using cement. Instead of cement, a mixture of eggs and rice paste was used as the binding agent for this enduring structure. Among all the buildings around this wonderful place, Rang Ghar is the only one that features the uniqueness introduced by the kings of the Ahom dynasty.
This site is located in a calm and peaceful area where visitors can experience tranquility and relaxation. There is a massive hayfield around the famous Rang Ghar, which is considered to be the largest width covered around the site. Primarily, this entertainment house was certainly meant for use by the local people.
