Dharasu is a small hill town located at an elevation of 1,339 meters (4,390 feet) above sea level, in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. The Dharasu Power Station, situated on the Bhagirathi River, is one of the key landmarks in the area. National Highway 94, which is part of the route to the Char Dham Yatra, passes through this town. Dharasu is an ideal stop if you’re traveling from Barkot to Uttarkashi, Gangotri, or Tehri during your Char Dham Yatra.

Nearby cities to Dharasu include Mussoorie, Tehri, Chamba, Dehradun, and Uttarkashi.
