Kerala, well known as God’s Own Country has the most prosperous culture in the entire human history. Kerala has a distinctive ethnic look for the tourists. Kerala has been blended with a variety of Cultures. During ancient period, Kerala was ruled by many emperors. Emerged as a melting pot of different dynasties, Kerala espoused with various lifestyle patterns resulting into the distinct, vibrant, culture.

Different Communities

The citizens are followers of different Religions like Hinduism, Muslims and Christianity. Along with this, Kerala also has Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism and Judaism found in smaller scale. It follows Cosmopolitan culture enjoys the festivals like Vishu and Onam. Apart from this festivals the other festivals like Diwali, Christmas, Milad-e-Sherif, Holi, Easter, Id-ul-Fitr are celebrated with very enthusiasm.

The people from Kerala are well-known for their kindness. Malayalam is the local language of Kerala. People here prefer the food cooked with coconut and spices, along with Chinese and other North Indian Cuisine.

Kaleidoscopic Culture

The broad minded and sophisticated Keralites have a preferences for western as well as traditional clothing. They are converting fashion conscious from traditional look day by day. They are great lovers of literature and art that can be seen through their dance and theatrical shows like Mohiniyattam, Koodiyattam and Kathakali. The people here are equally enthusiastic about sports, soccer and cricket.

The Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium located at Kochi is amongst the major multi-use stadiums of India. Kerala has a inimitable martial art known as Kalaripayattu, based with traditional knowledge of human body. It is supposed to be a decisive and susceptible sport.
