The citadel of Kachari Rajas is located some ten kilometers away from the city of Dimapur. The dynasty of Kachari was a powerful and mighty dynasty, of the ethnic group of Bodo Kachari. The remnants of the Kachari civilization are situated in the vicinity of Dimapur, which was formerly their capital. It is a noteworthy location of megalithic customs.
