Gangotri Dham

Gangotri Dham is one of the four sacred Hindu shrines that form the Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand, India. It is located in the Uttarkashi district at an altitude of 3,100 meters above sea level. Gangotri is the source of the River Ganges and is dedicated to Goddess Ganga, who is believed to have descended to earth from heaven to purify the sins of humans.
