Day 01: Spiritual Tour at Harni Mahadev Temple, Pur Udan Chatri, & Kyara Ke Balaji Temple

Harni Mahadev Temple, Bhilwara

  • 8 AM to 9 AM: First and foremost, some great breakfast! And what better place for that, than Egg Zone. Savour some delicious and unique dishes and have a great start to the day!
  • By 9.30 AM, you’d be right in time for some morning prayers at the Harni Mahadev Temple. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Hundreds of pilgrims flock to this place to take blessings from Shiva. It is especially crowded during Shivratri. Also, the beautiful architecture is worth noting- it is totally based on traditional Rajasthani architecture. Spend around an hour there, soaking up the spirituality of the place!
  • Next, by 11.15 AM you should be at Pur Udan Chatri. The distance from Harni Mahadev Temple to Pur Udan Chatri is around 17 km and thus will take about an hour. Pur Udan Chatri is a huge rock sitting on a small rock on top of a hillock. You can get a beautiful panoramic view of the city from this place, because of where it’s situated. Also, imagine the awesome pictures! Another hour there should be enough!
  • Your last stop would be Kyara Ke Balaji Temple. You’ll reach by 12 PM there. The distance between the two places is only 2km. This temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Legend has it that the image of Hanuman appeared naturally on a rock here. While you’re visiting Kyara Ke Balaji Temple, you can also opt to visit the Adhar Shila, Patola Mahadev temple, Ghata Rani temple etc. These temples are really nice and would make for a nice stop-over.
  • So next, after an hour or an hour and a half, it’s time for lunch, and so head over to Chawla’s for an amazing non-vegetarian fare!
  • Start at 1.30 PM to go to Meja Dam. It is only 17 km and will take around half an hour. Spend an hour at the beautiful spot and chill out in the lush green park. This place is perfect for some peace and quiet.
  • Start off at around 3 PM – 3.15 PM and head over to Chamunda Mata Mandir. It is around 20 km from Meja Dam and will take 40 minutes. Offer your prayers to God and enjoy some more peace and quiet!
  • Chamunda Mata Mandir is 5 km from Bhilwara, which concludes today’s trip. Time to go back to the hotel for some much-needed unwinding and getting ready for tomorrow!
  • You can have dinner at the beautiful rooftop restaurant of Tulip Continental. Their ambience and food- both are mind-blowing!

Pro Tip: Pur Udan Chatri is a wonderful place for a picnic. You can also opt to have lunch here amidst the beautiful atmosphere!

Day 02: Outing at Mandalgarh Fort, Menal, & Bijolia, & having Awesome food!

Mandalgarh Fort, Bhilwara

  • Today’s breakfast would be at 8 AM with some splendid coffee at Way2coffee- so that you’re ready for some sightseeing! Also, take some dry food with you, as today would be a late lunch day!
  • First stop today would be the beautiful Mandalgarh Fort is 60 km from Bhilwara and will take around 1 hour 16 minutes. So you’ll reach at 12.30 PM. After that, spend around 2 hours here taking pictures and exploring the beautiful 1 km long Fort. Also, here you’d be able to see two temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Krishna.
  • Next, go to Menal Waterfall, located about 18 km from Mandalgarh Fort, and will take 30 minutes. You’ll reach around 1 PM, and spend around 1 hour here, taking pictures and chilling for a bit.
  • Starting at around 2 PM, head over to Bijolia, which is 20 km from Menal, and will take another half an hour. Once here, check out the Bijolia fort, Mandakini temple, and Shree Digambar Jain Parshwanath Atishay Tirth Kshetra. It will take around 2 hours for sightseeing here.
  • Starting at Bijolia at 4.30, head back to Bhilwara. The trip covers around 95 km and will take another 2 hours.
  • Have dinner at Saffron tonight! The food is vegetarian but is absolutely yummy!

How to Reach

By Air: The nearest airport to Bhilwara is Udaipur (Dabok Airport), 134 km away. Sanganeer Airport in Jaipur is also an option (199 km). You can definitely get any form of transport from these airports to Bhilwara.

By Train: You can get regular trains from any part of the country to Bhilwara Railway Station. Any form of public transport is readily available from the railway station.

By Bus: Bhilwara is well connected by roads- in fact, the roads are great. Regular bus services are also available which will drop you straight to Bhilwara Bus Station.
