Varanasi culture possess the distinctiveness in its dressing sense and world famous Banarasi Sari made by the local designers of the city. This historical sari considered as the finest craft of silk, gold or silver brocade, Zari, luxurious embroidery and decorated with convoluted designs due to the engravings these saris relatively heavy. Special characteristic of the sari is Mughal inspired in intricate intertwine foliate and floral motifs that mirrors the Varanasi culture.

Lord Rama had crossed the Ganges in Varanasi and for this occasion the living generation has been celebrating the cycle as Ramlila that narrate the epic story of “Shri Lord Rama”. It is celebrated at the time of Dussehra for 31 days and last day the festivities as Rama vanquished the demon King Ravana and whole celebration sponsored by the Maharaja. It was started in the mid of 19th century by Maharaja Udit Narayan Singh and stated as the Ram Nagar ki Ram Leela. Varanasi culture is subjected to the spiritualism and describe as the labyrinthine older city of rich Indian culture.
