4- Huzoor Palace

Built by Maharaja Rana Natwarsinhji in early 20th Century, Huzoor Palace was a Royal Residence of successors Kings of Porbandar. The palace is famous for its architectural grandeur which is influenced by the European style of architecture. Featured with ornamental pillars and porticos, it also comprises of gardens and water fountains. The palace still used a royal residence, so the visitor not allowed to enter inside the palace. During the Navratri Festival, lots of crowds gathered in front of the palace to pay respects to the previous rulers. 5- Kirti Mandir

Dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi and his wife Kasturba Gandhi, Kirti Mandir is a popular religious spot and among one of the top places to visit in Porbandar. Built by Maharaja Sayajirao III in 1936 AD, it is a three-storied building adjacent to the Gandhi house where Bapu had to spend his early years of life. Initially, the temple was an ancestral property of the Gandhi family and later converted into Kirti Temple. Further, the temple premises consists of a library having books on Gandhism, a prayer hall, a children’s nursery, and a spinning hall. You can also see life-size paintings of Mahatma Gandhi and his mother Kasturba Gandhi within the temple complex. There is also a photo panel at the entrance of the temple which displays pictures of several historic events.

6- Krishna Sudama Mandir

Built by Sri Ram Devji Jethwa during his rule between 1902-1907, Krishna Sudama Temple is a popular religious tourist attraction in Porbandar. Dedicated to the childhood friend and devotee of Lord Krishna, Sudama, it is the only temple in India where Krishna friend Sudama worshipped. There is a sculpture of Sudama sitting on Lord Krishna throne and Lord Krishna and his wife Rukmani showering love on his lost friend. The temple complex made up of white marbles that gives it a glorious look. Visited by lots of tourists every year especially on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami festival, it is a popular shrine for all religions.
